Colorado was first in the nation to get this legistation in 2020. In 2019 a law was passed that all placement agencies must have a disclosure signed being transparent in how they are compensated and in 2020 a law that seniors and their families have the right in who represents them. They have the right to cancel a disclosure agreement at anytime for any reason. The two laws came together to form the Family Choice Act.
